Color Fest -- My photo exhibit

When we decided to show our work in Westmont,Il, we simply set out to show our work to as many people as possible. This is not the first time we have worked together, we have shown our works in our photography group "fotoMuses" several times a year for last 5 years or so. We always worked with a set of themes voted by our group but for this show rather than picking a phrase or a word Joan suggested to show colorful photographs to brighten this long and dreary winter in Chicago. We have works from our travel to Mexico, Chicago, Oak Brook fireworks and the Downers Grove Heritage Festival (Village canceled this wonderful festival this year due to budget constraints). After taking 4 hours arranging and hanging our photographs I think we have achieved what we set out to do.... a bright, colorful, and a fun show....

"Take Aim" A Juried Photography Exhibition

Today I found out that out of three photographs that was accepted into the "Take Aim" A juried Photography Exhibition at Bloomingdale Museum, Bloomingdale, Illinois "Oak Fairy" received the Fourth place ribbon. Yes, it is not the best of show or even the first place but with over 150 photographs entered, I am quiet happy with the white ribbon and a check.

Two Photographs below my "Oak Fairy" is "Autumn Water" and "Water Lilies" by my good friend AiChen Ho who received a blue ribbon for her honorable mention. She is an amazing landscape photographer who prints all of her works and is an amazing person.
